MDx BioAnalytical Laboratory is a US analytical testing lab that vendors reference
on their public COAs with the line “Searchable via: mdxbiolabs.com”. Each report
prints a “Certificate of Analysis Identifier: COA######”, and that identifier is
the Search Code on the lab’s own public CoA Search at
mdxbiolabs.com/certificates-of-analysis. Entering a real code returns the
matching certificate; an unknown code returns “No matching COA was found.” — so a
certificate can be confirmed against the testing lab, not just the vendor.
The search is a genuine per-COA lookup: the page’s ?search_code= deep-link
auto-runs the search, so PeptideBenchmark links each verifiable report straight to
its result. The reports carry HPLC/MS purity and identity plus endotoxin,
heavy-metals, and sterility panels.
Why it matters in the current vendor graph
MDx is the primary third-party lab behind Bio Edge Research Labs’ per-product COAs (alongside Kovera Labs, Freedom Diagnostics, and Janoshik), and its searchable identifier turns most of that catalog’s certificates into provider-public-lookup evidence rather than vendor-hosted images alone. Because it is registered as a shared provider, any other vendor whose COAs carry an MDx identifier benefits automatically.
What to watch for
Only the COA###### identifier resolves — the separate QC###### tracking number
is not a Search Code (and a QC value that happened to equal another report’s COA
number would resolve to the wrong certificate), so PeptideBenchmark verifies only
the COA-prefixed identifier. Codes are checked live against the lab’s own lookup
before a verification link is recorded.
